The Bentley La Sarthe is a classically stylish modern interpretation of the pinnacle of Bentley design. A new beginning; in the original spirit of Coachbuilding, the Bentley Type R Continental Coupe.
The car features carefully considered, sympathetic improvements to the car's original 1950s engineering, making La Sarthe a pleasure to drive in modern traffic.
With full aluminium body fully hand built using traditional techniques, by the finest British craftsmen.
A very personal creation, sitting on its carefully selected, unmodified but completely restored, R-Type chassis, La Sarthe is a true 1950s Grand Tourer and can be placed alongside the most elegant Coach Built cars ever created.
Traditional coachbuilding techniques are employed producing the aluminium body, all panels are produced on an English wheel and checked on a traditional wooden buck. Whilst the body is being completed the chassis is disassembled & upgraded to brand new standards. The engine is rebuilt to as new & a free flow exhaust fitted, considerably uprating the performance. The rear axle is also upgraded to Continental specification allowing for very relaxed cruising at modern motorway speeds. Standard specification reflects the flair and cachet of the automobile. Enhancements to engine, braking, cooling, electrical systems, bodywork and interior appointments have been thoroughly integrated, to make this Bentley even more personal.
