Of the numerous cars which were successfully campaigned in last year’s Motor Racing Legends series, it was the 1959 Jaguar Costin Lister which was awarded the prestigious Brian Lister Trophy. Presented to the most outstanding performing Lister, the car was campaigned extensively throughout the year claiming unrivalled victories at race meetings including Spa Six Hours and Donington Historic Festival. The prestigious award was collected by Chris Ward, Andrew Smith and John Young who drove the Lister regularly throughout the series. This is the first year that this trophy, which was donated by the great Brian Lister has been awarded and the JD Classics team were honoured to be the first recipients albeit a bittersweet victory due to the recent death of Brian Lister who was due to present the trophy. Nevertheless, JD Classics were privileged to receive such an accolade in his memory. The Lister also was awarded class winner within the Stirling Moss Trophy.
