JD Classics are pleased to announce their sponsorship of the 2015 Goodwood Revival.
Since its inauguration in 1998, the Goodwood Revival has grounded itself as one of, if not the most prestigious historic motor racing event in existence with spectators, drivers and the vast Goodwood estate jumping back in time to the 1940s, 50s and 60s to celebrate the Golden era of motorsport for the three day period.
Privileged to be major sponsors of the event held over the weekend of the 11th-13th September, JD Classics will be welcoming invited clientele and guests to join them to enjoy the weekend’s high octane racing action from the comfort of their hospitality suite. An intimate setting, the Salvadori Pavillion based on the famous chicane just before the start/finish straight will allow invited guests to partake in JD Classics’ hospitality whilst enjoying the track-side view of all the weekend’s action.
Amongst the hundreds of both two and four wheeled automotives taking part, JD Classics will also be participating on-track with a 6 car line-up consisting of the 1954 Cooper T33, 1955 Jaguar D-Type, 1963 Lightweight Jaguar E-Type, 1959 Costin Lister and two competition Jaguar XK120s, all of which hope to maintain JD Classics’ consistently strong performances at the Revival as per previous years.
A fundamental feature of motor racing in period, the course car was a regular sight at race meetings, deployed to the track after each race to check for debris and cars which may have gone off course. With this in mind, JD Classics were privileged to be asked to provide this year’s Goodwood Revival course cars; our 1962 Coombs Jaguar MK2, 1965 Aston Martin DB5 and 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB Alloy make up this year’s trio.
With an array of on-track action, JD Classics will also be showcasing their cars off track with their 1972 365 GTB Ferrari Daytona. This original factory colour example will be on display throughout the weekend as part of the Earls Court Motor Show.
