On Monday 12th November, JD Classics and Jaguar returned to the famous Goodwood Motor Circuit for an event celebrating the Jaguar ‘Bloodline’ of sports cars. A select group of experienced motoring journalists from some of the UK’s most influential publications were in attendance.
C, D and E-Types previously raced by the Jaguar Heritage Racing team in 2012 took to the famous motorsport track in a day of demonstrations and photo opportunities. Housed in the Jackie Stewart Pavilion, a new Jaguar F-TYPE prototype was presented to media as a highlight of the activity.
Alongside its historic predecessors, the two-seat F-TYPE sports car emphasised the evolution of Jaguar design and engineering DNA.
Having photographed and filmed the C, D, E and F-TYPE on track, selected media were not only driven around the circuit but, under the watchful eyes of our accompanying pro-drivers Alex Buncombe, Wil Arif and our MD Derek Hood, they were also invited to drive Jaguar Heritage Racing cars on the challenging and iconic Goodwood circuit.
Despite rainy conditions, the day proved to be a great success, with media delighted to attend such an exclusive and unique event. In its first year alone, the Jaguar Heritage Racing team has produced consistently strong performances, with outright wins at many of the year’s most prestigious race meetings.
As event managers of the Jaguar Bloodline activity, we are proud to be involved with Jaguar Heritage Racing in such a successful debut season.
