Description
Presently under restoration. 1967 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 litre Open Two Seater. Full matching numbers car.
This car is undergoing a total, fully stripped, bare shell restoration, to the very highest standard. It will be a competent contender at any international concours event which its new owner may wish to enter.
An examination of the photographs attached will show the incredible standard of finish to which this car is being restored. Due to the number of shut lines, around the bonnet, doors, and boot lid, E-Type restorations can be let down by inaccurate assembly of panels. To compete with today's incredible restoration standards of build accuracy, (far superior than when the cars were first assembled in the 1960s), requires a precise approach where only perfection will suffice. J.D Classics' enviable international reputation for perfection lives on in the attention to minute detail in the restoration of this car. A glance at the quality of panel fit and shape will illustrate this vital point.
Over one thousand seven hundred hours have been spent on this E-Type to date, and it is estimated around another one thousand five hundred hours to complete.
At this stage the build of the car can be finished in left or right control, and to customer requirements, both mechanical and trim, offering a standard specification, or possibly a fast road configuration as per customer requirements. Although in standard specification the E-Type is a fast car, even by modern standards, this example can have upgrades to engine, gearbox, suspension and brakes. The choice is yours.
The car will be trimmed to the very highest quality, and again there is customer choice of colour and materials.
We would be pleased to help with any enquiries you may have regarding this car
