A modern classic! This 1989 example is an opportunity to acquire a 3 owner and relatively low mileage Golf kept in a charming condition.

First purchased in 1989 from Harper Euro Cars, Hertfordshire the car is accompanied with its original service handbook, Service Schedule, Blaupunkt instruction manual and many other documents from its early years. The history file contains over 50 documents helping to show the vehicles’ maintenance, ownership and mileage throughout the years.  Delivered to the first owner on 16th March 1989,  it appears the car lead a good life with reporting of servicing and invoices for parts.

It was subsequently sold for £6500 to the second owner by Mantles of Royston in 1992. Showing care and attention after purchase he fitted an alarm system demonstrating his careful nature, this is still with the car today.  This owner kept the car until 2021 and in the later years of ownership through the 2000s this custodian kept handwritten notes of the car’s movements, noting when the car was started, moved and cleaned.
 
The well-kept MOT certificates warrant the mileage of this vehicle and show that between 2000 and 2018 the Golf covered less than 20,000 miles further showing thought to an appreciating classic. 
 
This golf has a great sporting stance on a lower ride height, (The original suspension components are available) providing great road holding and a firm drive.  The hood is in a great condition (appears to have been replaced) and ready for this summer’s afternoon drives to the coast or into the city friends.
