Only the well-connected or notable racing drivers had a chance of owning one, making Rafferty's acquisition all the more impressive.

Passing Through Generations - As Rafferty's family grew, the E-Type found its way into the hands of its second owner, James Trotter, who resided in Surrey. Trotter cherished the car, parting ways with it on the 26th of July 1973. The E-Type then found a new owner in Graham Munt, a local resident of Purely. However, Munt's ownership was relatively short-lived, as he sold the car just five months later in November 1973.

The Journey Continues - Brian Palmer of Norfolk became the next custodian of Chassis 850324 in 1975. After a year of ownership, he passed the torch to his neighbor, John Whitting. Whitting's love for the E-Type endured for decades until his passing in 2010. In his will, he bequeathed the car to the current owner, who now proudly carries the responsibility of preserving its rich history.

A Meticulous Restoration - Over the years, the E-Type's mileage slowly increased, as evidenced by a collection of MOT certificates from 1976 onwards. Recognizing the need for a comprehensive restoration, the current owner decided to undertake a meticulous "nut and bolt" rebuild in 2017. Every detail was carefully considered, resulting in a stunning finished product that is immaculate in every aspect. The restoration encompassed not only the car's appearance but also a full mechanical rebuild, ensuring that the E-Type's performance matches its remarkable aesthetics.
