Considered by many as the pinnacle of the Jaguar XK series, this exceptional example of the XK140 DHC combines the pleasures of open-top motoring with the benefits of modern enhancements. Starting with an original one-owner car with matching numbers, it was meticulously restored to full JD Sport Specification.
What makes this car special?
A genuine low mileage restoration demonstrating the best of what Jaguar XK ownership can be. With just two UK owners since it’s restoration the car has been enjoyed but well maintained and is ready for it’s third custodian to take the car forward. With a fantastic number plate that any XK owner would be envious of this XK140 will draw admiration wherever it travels too. The work carried out in the 2000s by JD Classics is of high quality and makes it an extremely appealing opportunity to own a well prepared car that would likely not be replicated today at a competitive price. The previous owner remarks of a faultless journey through Europe in 1XXK which is documented in the diary he kept with the car. The first UK owner enjoyed ownership of 3 JD Classics Jaguars including 1XXK and still admires the car today.
This XK140 left the factory with a Jaguar supplied C-Type cylinder head. A sought-after upgrade determining this XK140 a SE, Special Equipment Model. The Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirms this. It also believed to be one of only 4 cars in Mediterranean blue.
